R2D2s COMPLETED

20 08 2009

Well they’re finally here, the first set of Brass Monki hand crafted sneakers which many of you watched me creating over the past 2 days via LiveStream. Take a look at the actual photographs below (you can click on it to get a high res. image), and compare them with the photoshopped image below. Let me know what you think by writing in the comments box at the bottom of the page.

I have also been thinking about making each design a “one-off”, which will be a single exclusive reproduction of the digital design. Again, please let me know your views by commenting on this post.

Now that you have finally ventured into the world of painting the kicks (and very well, might I add), I really wanna see you do some more design-oriented work. Painting images on shoes is all well and good, and we have all done it as customizers, but I want to see you paint images INTO the shoes.

That is, a design that is aware that it exists on the shoes (like your Brass Monki designs, but focusing more on the panels). Once you can achieve that, you will join the ranks of the well-known customizers.
